Creating a Pentacle Wiccan Garden

One of the best places where you can express your Wiccan ethics is to create a Wiccan garden with various plants and herbs that are used in The Craft.

You will find various types of Wiccan gardens out there that you can create. Some of them are just like a kitchen variety garden. Others are more elaborate though and include statues or other items that are very important to Wicca.

According to the Wiccan belief system, the upright pentacle or pentagram is the symbol of Morgan, who was an Ancient Celtic Goddess. These pentacles and pentagrams are often warm by Wiccas as a type of charm. They can also be used as jewelry items at the altar.

The pentacle is used to banish healing circles. The 5 points are very symbolic to the Wiccas. They represent:

Earth
Air
Fire
Water
Spirit

For some Wiccas though they have another meaning, one that is for the directions. They include:

North
East
South
West
Spirit

The pentacle is a very common symbol to display in your Wiccan garden.

There are some basic elements to making this happen. These basic instructions will assist you with accomplishing a lovely garden area where you can exercise your ethical beliefs.
Survey your yard to see where you can put your garden. You want to find a level area so that you can plant your herbs here. Decide where you would like the center of the garden to be. Place a stake or other marker into that location. Tie a piece of string to the stake and then a bottle filled with sand at the other end of it. If you would like to create your Wiccan garden with an 8 foot diameter, then you a 4 foot string.

Your string needs to be tight, and the bottle should be upside down. This process is going to allow the sound to pour out of the bottle. Walk clockwise in a circle. This will form the outer part of the circle for the pentagram. Use any materials you choose to create this area including stones, rocks, bricks, or other items.

Once you have this done, remove the stake, string, and the bottle. Now you can focus your attention on preparing the soil that is inside of your circle. The goal is to create a 5 pointed Wiccan garden. You will need a board that you can use to guide you so that all 5 of your lines are straight. This is going to create your pentagram.

There are plenty of types of herbs that you can plant in your pentacle Wiccan garden. They include:
